What's new in this version:

- BlackBerry Blend version 1.1 provides new features to support organisations, and new enhancements to improve the overall experience.

The new features for organisations are:
- When your device is in an Advanced Data at Rest Protection (ADARP) data lock state, the data in your work space can't be accessed by you or the apps on your device. To access the data in your work space, your administrator must unlock your work space.
- You can start a BBM Protected chat, which adds an extra layer of encryption to the existing BBM security model between devices. If your administrator enabled BBM Protected, the first time that you start a BBM chat with a BBM Protected contact, a passphrase must be specified. The contact must enter this passphrase to join the chat. After completing the passphrase step, you can chat normally with this contact. BBM Protected messages appear as blue text.
- You can connect your device to BlackBerry Blend over a proxy server.
- BlackBerry Blend now supports work space only devices.
- This release of BlackBerry Blend also introduces performance improvements to connections between your device and BlackBerry Blend, and improvements to working with File Manager and contacts.
